The volume and weight of the paddle

The paddle according to your size. If the amount of drainage doesn't match your weight, your board won't pull you out of the water. The board's volume and weight are two very important reference factors when selecting the paddle.

Volume: the volume of a board can be expressed as a liter.  The buoyancy caused by the volume of the board makes the board capable of carrying heavy objects. The larger the volume of the board, the greater the weight it can carry.

A short board, if wide and thick, can have good buoyancy. In the same way, if the long board is narrow and thin, buoyancy is not enough. So, if a 200 pound surfer wants to surf, you can choose a short, well handled, but larger volume board (width, thickness).

Gravity: each board has a certain load of gravity, it's important to know that the weight of the board is very important. If your weight is too heavy for your board, then your board will have a deep draft, and it is not easy to ski.

Paddle length

When you choose the length of the board, think ahead of time, where do you want to slip? The boards needed for surfing in the sea, or racing in calm lakes are very different.

In addition, consider the size of your car, whether it is easy to store and transport. And also consider the distance you take the board to the water, usually in a relatively windy area, long distance transport of long board is still difficult. In this case, the inflatable board will be more suitable, and can be transported to the water edge and then inflated.

Short board (9 ', 2.8 meters below), suitable for surfing. Long board, short board of better maneuverability. The average child's surfboard is below 2.4 meters.

Medium size board (9 '-12' 2.8 meters -3.7 meters) is the ideal size of multi-functional board. You can skate in the lake or surf in the sea.

Naga Sako (12.6 '-14' 3.8 meters -4.3 meters), suitable for competition and water hiking. Naga Sako's speed is faster than the middle and short board, and relatively easy to slip straight line. If you're interested in racing or hiking, you need a long board to race, or taxi long distances to your campsite.

The width of the paddle

The width of the board is important to maintain stability.  Boards can be as wide as 36, 90 centimeters, to fit the weight of various users.

Wide plate (about 31 '80cm or wider): wide plate than the better stability of narrow strip, easier to stand. But the speed will be slower than the narrow.

Narrow version (29 "-30" 74cm-76cm): narrow faster than long plate speed, but stability will be worse.

Paddle core material

EPS foam material: foam material, fiberglass or epoxy resin is the way most boards are made. Sometimes carbon fiber and plastic are used, and the weight of the board varies according to the internal structure.

Hollow (hollow core): some mid-range board, because of the production process, will use hollow technology. Some high-end board, also will use this technology, to reduce the weight of the board, enhance its performance ability.

Polyurethane foam: slightly heavier than EPS foam, generally used in the entry-level board.

Inflatable board: the structure of the inflatable board is PVC wrapped drop-stitch material. Inflatable board is more resistant to use, lighter, easy to carry, and easy to store.

Caudal fin

Caudal fin can increase water control ability and stability:

This large single fin is arranged on the base, with a small fixed bolt. There is a slot on the base to insert the fins.

Three fin settings: this setting is good for straight running in the flat water and helps in the control of the surfing process.

Race tail fin: this kind of straight and Hard fin is very helpful for the long board to move forward in the wind. It can greatly enhance the ability to grab and flip the board.
