Are all the same board?

- Nov 20, 2017 -

There are a lot of reasons why boards are different.

Material: Generally speaking (everything can be used), good goods are not cheap, cheap goods are not good. Good brands generally use good quality materials. The best board is made of wire drawing air cushion material and top quality nylon yarn, so that the board has higher strength. Drawing number, the lower the rate of flex board. Some brands will use this as an advertising point, and you can feel it yourself.

Thickness: the thicker the board, the harder it is. That's why some of the advice is that big customers use thick boards.  The thickest board is 15CM. Some brands also try to make more thick board, but the board's experience is very bad, because too far away from the water, can not be good during operation.

Shape: most brands produce boards of different shapes and sizes to meet the needs of different consumers. Generally speaking, the brand of 320CM is similar to each other, but there is a big difference between the different brands of the surfboard and the racing board. For example, the shape of the tail may be very different, so that each board has a different feeling and performance.

Fins: there are many types of fins, but generally divided into two types. One is fixed on the board and board integration, one is the need to install on the board. The fins that are integrated with the board are generally durable. They can withstand strong strokes without damage, and have a certain degree of flexibility and flexibility. But it also means that their performance is slightly worse than hard fins. Fins are usually installed on a board with small bolts or plugs. The fins are good, but also more fragile. You should pay more attention to the boards when they start and return to the shore, and be careful not to touch stones.

Weight: Generally speaking, the weight of the board is different due to the quantity and quality of the PVC used in the board. If the whole board adds a layer of 0.8MMPVC, it will increase a lot of weight. Brands make different boards according to the user's different boards. If you're light weight and you have to walk a long way to the beach, a light board would be better for you. But if you want to do a variety of water skiing, surfing, whitewater rafting and other sports, then a slightly stronger and slightly heavier board will be more suitable for you. But with the rapid development of board technology, may not have to come in the future, there will be lighter and stronger board, let's wait and see.
